Sock Puppet

⭐ Easy⏱️ 30 minutes🎨 Fun & Toys

Make your own sock puppet and then have fun using or playing with what you created. Decorate it so no two projects look exactly alike.

🧺 Materials

  • Paper or cardboard
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • Child-safe scissors
  • Tape
👀 Before you start: Look at the finished picture. Read Step 1 only. Do Step 1. Then read Step 2. Keep going one step at a time. If a step says “ask a grown-up,” stop and get help before you continue.

📝 How to Make It

  1. 1Put a clean sock on your hand.
  2. 2Move your thumb away from your fingers. The fold between them is the puppet's mouth.
  3. 3Take the sock off and put it on the table.
  4. 4Put two eyes above the mouth. Move them until you like their spot.
  5. 5Glue the eyes on.
  6. 6Ask a grown-up to help cut paper or felt for ears, hair, teeth, or a tongue.
  7. 7Glue those pieces onto the sock.
  8. 8Leave the puppet on the table until the glue is completely dry.
  9. 9Put the sock back on your hand and make your puppet talk.
